NostalgiaWhen it comes to longevity, Monkey's Uncle has just begun. Spending two years together would tear most creative groups asunder; however, Monkey's Uncle has discovered the secret to staying together. "New shirts," claims Howard Semones, director and member of the troupe. "There is nothing more important than change; and there is nothing more important in change than fashion. Nothing reinvigorates comedy stylings more than a good change of clothing." Monkey's Uncle, which also stars Matt Wallington, Mike Sjerven, Matt Krupa and Larry Epstein, will debut their new red and black, classic-style bowling shirts at their November 19th show at Jazz @ Jack's. Semones says the troupe has some hilarious plans for their two year anniversary show. "'Some things new, some things dead, some things "borrowed", five shirts red' -- that's our motto." Monkey's Uncle performs the third Wednesday of each month at Jazz @ Jacks - 1553 Platte, 2nd Floor. Doors for the show open at 6:30 and the show is at 7:30. There is a $5 cover.
